  • sunk-cost fallacy : it’s pouring down rain, but you bought tickets to the rodeo that’s still going to happen despite the horrible weather, and you decide to go because the ticket was $15. it’s like throwing your money in a “sink” hole!
  • convergent thinking : ex: finding the fastest route between two points on a map, bringing lots of info in to find one answer
  • divergent thinking : ex: using a coin as a flathead screwdriver, finding multiple answers to a problem, or seeing multiple paths to solving a problem
