  • movement : adds excitement to the work by showing action and directing the viewers eye throughout the picture plane.
  • emphasis : refers to developing points of interest to pull the viewers eyes to important parts of the work.
  • line : element of art refers to continuous mark made on some surface by a moving point.
  • romanticism : period of art emphasis on freedom, and nature. showcases intense emotions. ex. the 3rd of may.
